A must have for the Jornada 720 or Mobile Pro 790.

The Rhino Pak 3000 is quite the carrying case, loaded with pockets inside and out.  I purchased it about 2 months ago, and have already brought it to hell and back numerous times.

One of the first things I noticed as I opened the shipping box, was the nylon mesh zippered pocket on the outside of the RhinoPak 3000.  I was able to put my Serial Adapter, a 6ft. telephone cord, and RJ-45 dongle in there comfortably.   I then opened the main dual zipper that opens the Pak itself.  On the left side, I found what appeared to be a stylus pocket, a slot, and a wider pocket.   Underneath was another unzippered nylon mesh pocket which fit a PCMCIA NIC or Adapter card with case nicely.

In the spine were two smaller 'slots' which I have yet to figure out what I can put in there.  Emergency change for a pay phone in the event my cell phone is stolen, I don't know.

The beauty of the RhinkPak 3000 is in the right side.   Inter-weaving nylon resistance 'bands' criss-cross to provide you with numerous configurations, for numerous devices.  The bands are also configurable for a Jornada 720, which makes this case a great addition.

My only problem with the case is the pockets on the left side.   For a Jornada 720 they are ok, however if you place anything in them with some mass, they may press against the unit when the pack is closed or pressure is applied from the outside.  More of a threat for Palms or Pocket PC's, less for a Handheld PC; yet still an issue.

I have also washed the Pak a couple times, once from being dropped in a puddle of muddy water.  The Pak help up fine while submerged for roughly 1-2 seconds, everything inside the case was fine.  Anything in the nylon mesh pocket on the outside was ruined or a soggy mess.  I also spilled Orange Juice on the case, but didn't realize it until a few days later.  A quick trip into the washing machine on a gentle cycle, and a hop into the drier on low heat, and all was well again.

The Rhino Pack is fastened to my Targus Backpack through the carrying handle, it rests nicely on the back pack itself. I highly recommend the Rhino Pak as an addition to your device as a small mobile carrying solution.

As for the price, I'm not going to complain.   If you are looking for imitation leather with cardboarding backing, look elsewhere.
